The M4GIC-ILC consortium will officially launch the project with its first kick-off meeting on October 6th, 2026, bringing together partners from across Europe to establish a common vision and plan the work ahead.
Over the next 36 months, M4GIC-ILC will develop an innovative AI-powered framework to improve the clinical management of Invasive Lobular Carcinoma (ILC). The project will bring together radiology, pathology, molecular and clinical data to support more accurate diagnosis and staging, as well as better prediction of relapse and treatment response.
During the kick-off meeting, partners will introduce their respective areas of expertise, align the project’s scientific and technical activities and discuss the first steps towards building the multimodal data infrastructure and AI models at the heart of M4GIC-ILC.
The meeting will also establish the foundations for effective collaboration across the consortium, from data management and clinical validation to communication, dissemination and exploitation.oC
The remarkable diversity of invasive lobular carcinoma (ILC), from its microscopic appearance and ra-diological presentation to its clinical behavior, metastatic patterns, molecular landscape, and complex immunohistochemical profile, has driven the M4GIC-ILC consortium to reimagine ILC care through artifi-cial intelligence. M4GIC-ILC will deliver a disease-specific, modular, multi-agent system that enhances diagnosis, prognosis, and treatment prediction, providing an integrated understanding of ILC that moves beyond current fragmented approaches and addresses the longstanding underrepresentation of ILC patients."
Prof. Giuseppe Floris, Project Coordinator
With the project officially underway, M4GIC-ILC will begin working towards its ambition of harnessing trustworthy, multimodal AI to enable more personalised and effective care for people with ILC.
